This volume contains 14 appendices related to the establishment and operations of the Royal Commission, research and quantitative data, details of previous reports and inquiries, and our procedural fairness letters and responses.

The first section includes our Letters Patent, the Royal Commission’s financial information, details of our public hearings, roundtables, reference and advisory groups, and private session data and feedback.

The second section details the data that underpins our final report. It includes quantitative data on current and ex-serving members’ comparative rates of suicide. It contains Australian Institute of Health and Welfare data on ex-serving member hospital admissions for self-harm and mental health, as well as ex-serving member select causes of death. It also includes Defence survey results.
